Thanks Senator Patty Murray!

I recently assisted a first-time home buyer couple purchase a home with a VA loan. Through the process of acquiring the loan the VA requested that my buyers obtain some additional paperwork from the National Archives. We found the National Archives to be extremely unhelpful in fulfilling our request. After weeks of delays the National Archives finally informs us that this paperwork does not exist. We pass this information on to the VA and to our shock they still insist on the paperwork! The buyers were not allowed to speak to a supervisor or anyone that might be able to resolve this.

I could not believe how the VA treated their own veteran. These wonderful newlywed, first-time home buyers were just trying to obtain a loan that they rightly deserved and earned by serving our country.

By this time the sellers are tired of waiting and are considering backing out of the contract. I’m desperate to find a solution and to keep this deal together. My buyers really want this house!

Finally, with all other options exhausted, the buyers go to Patty Murray’s office. Her office was so helpful and within days they were able to clear up the mess with the VA. My buyers closed a week later on their new, beautiful home.

Again Thanks to Patty Murray and to the people of her office!
